What changes the price
Five things move a security quote. Knowing them before you compare providers is what stops you comparing two numbers that were never measuring the same job.
Hours and shift length
A minimum engagement applies per officer. Two separate four-hour shifts cost more than one eight-hour shift covering the same site.
When the work happens
Nights, weekends and public holidays carry penalty rates. These belong in the quote before you sign, not on the first invoice.
Which licence the role needs
Crowd control is a separate endorsement to general guarding and is priced differently. A licensed venue needs the endorsement, not just a licence.
How many officers
Driven by site size, entry points and sightlines — and for events, by expected patron numbers and your permit conditions.
Travel
Quoted as its own line by distance from Williams Landing, so you can see exactly what regional coverage costs before you commit.
What you should get back
